Console Doctor

Brief

Console Doctor was first site developed by the website-lab, this site is the result of lots of hard work and close cooperation with the client. They required a customised e-commerce site that would only request payment once the customer had sent their item for repair, and the work had been completed. It was also essential that the site had a high ranking on the major search engines.

Design

With a wide variety of user types it was important to appeal to a wide demographic for this site. We opted for a technical, professional for this site. We used multiple navigation options for ease of use and to hook in visitors to the site. Customer testimonials were also placed prominently on the home page as this was felt to be an important aspect of the site.

Development

We included a massive amount of features into this website, both user facing and administrative. The key important of this site however was that it was basically an ecommerce site with a difference. A lot of existing repair companies use a ready-made ecommerce system for their repairs service. This however means the customers had to pay long before the work was completed. We removed this barrier by introducing a phased system, only once the repair work was complete would the user be sent an email prompting them to pay through the website. Email and SMS notifications we sent out at every stage of the work to keep the user informed.

The site was also carefully developed with Search Engine Optimisation in mind and has proved very successful in this respect.
